Gospel Freedom (Colossians 1-2)

I love how Paul, again, is talking about the freedom we have in the gospel…

And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. – Colossians 2:13-14

I always need to be reminded that forgiveness is there to be taken. No matter how many times I try, I always fail and sin, but the beauty of the gospel is that I can live in the freedom of the spirit instead of the restrictions of the flesh. AND it is only through Christ I am saved, not abstinence from certain things or what have you. Saved by the power of Jesus Christ. Forgiven.

Side note — CCF theme verse from this year! 😀 Colossians 2:6-7
